About brudjones photography

Much of Brud's work centers on people in places...where the person and the place seem to be connected by more than mere proximity. Brud captures images that convey the power of the human spirit and its relevance to its surroundings. Brud also enjoys photographing landscapes, and architecture. Brud's photography expedition to Bhutan in 2002 inspired him to create a non-profit organization called Capture the World. CTW helps children express themselves through digital photography. Brud is convinced that children's perspectives can provide us insights that would escape the lens of an adult photographer. CTW gives kids instruction and cameras, and sets them free to express themselves through visual story-telling - captured images that relate to an aspect of their lives. CTW then works with the children to print their images on-site and to compose a cohesive collection. Brud had shot photography as a high-schooler and processed his photos in his family's in-home darkroom. But the digital aspect appealed to Brud's interest in how technology and creativity are intertwined and allow for new and economical creative expression. Brud not only embraces the digital photography revolution, he is motivated to help chart its direction. In 2005 Brud launched Digital Labrador, a digital lab for photographers that provides a collaborative workspace for the perfection of captured images.
